Silver 1000 set for September 1st


44th Annual Silver 1000 Presented by Country Trucking & Excavating
*For Immediate Release* – August, 17th 2016 – Duluth, MN

With the 44th Annual Silver 1000 presented by Country Trucking & Excavating fast approaching. The Proctor Speedway has agreed to increase the payoffs for both the WISSOTA Modifieds and WISSOTA Late Models to kick off the WISSOTA invitational season on Thursday, September 1st. Along with an increased pay off for both feature events several local businesses have came together to make this a “can’t miss event” with a minimum of $20 going to each heat race winner, $100 going to each dash winner and several other bonuses throughout the night.

Several OneMain WISSOTA Late Model Challenge Series competitors are expected to revisit the Proctor Speedway for the Silver 1000 before competing at the Labor Day Shootout in Hibbing, MN Saturday, September 3rd and 4th. Many WISSOTA Modified competitors are also expected to kick off their invitational season prior to the WISSOTA Classic at the Grand Rapids Speedway September 2nd, and Labor Day Shootout September 3rd, and 4th in Hibbing.
